Our Investor Team
Backed by an experienced group of UK investors who fully believe in where we're headed.
How it began
No Place Like Home
The idea had been brewing long before it took shape, but the timing had never quite aligned. For years, we talked about building something together, a venture that would harness our shared passion for creating exceptional experiences and delivering genuine, high-touch hospitality.
When the opportunity finally presented itself, we jumped at it without hesitation.
The stars aligned when this opportunity presented itself, a perfect match in our combined skill sets. With one side bringing extensive background in co-working business strategy and back-office operations, and the other bringing years of front-of-house sales, hospitality, and daily member-focused care, the two halves fit seamlessly.
Doing this as a family was the heart of the vision. Together, we pooled our strengths to curate The 925 Coterie, a space designed not just for work, but for connection, comfort, and outstanding service.
Position and purpose
Position & Purpose
The neighbourhood first, the address second
Before committing to a specific address, we focused on finding the right neighbourhood. Century City sits perfectly at the intersection of Cape Town's southern suburbs, northern suburbs, and city centre, sparing everyone a gruelling cross-town commute and perfectly accommodating the seasonal residents who split their time between continents. Strategically, it broadens our members' talent pool by making the workplace easily accessible from virtually anywhere. Once the area was decided, the location chose us: Godwin Property Developments, a family business, acquired a floor in The Colosseum. While we explored several great options, this one offered something truly unmatched: the beautiful Cape Town views.
The name
What does "The 925 Coterie" mean
We built this space for the globally curious, people with stories to share and a drive to explore. The truth is, work is the honest engine behind global experiences, funding the journeys that broaden our horizons. Rather than viewing the daily grind as a barrier to clear before life begins, we've built a workplace designed to be a destination in itself.
The feel of it
Crafted by Intent
Our interior details are entirely deliberate. Years of travel taught us that breakthrough thinking happens out in the world: on mountaintops, or deep in the bush, remote beaches, and in candid conversations with fellow travellers. When crafted with purpose, a physical environment can foster that same creative energy.
Surrounding you are vintage hand tools, thought-provoking artwork, and a library packed with stories of visionaries, explorers, and sports icons. Far from simple decoration, these elements honour the dignity of honest work and the humble roots of every great business.
The people in it
The Heartbeat of The Coterie
A workplace is only as inspiring as the people inside it. Our members are global thinkers, creative problem solvers, and everyday explorers who understand that hard work and ambition go hand in hand. Around our library bar and shared tables, ideas are traded as freely as stories. You aren't just taking up space here, you're shaping the culture of a community built on mutual trust and shared purpose.
